Donald Trump just said a deadly attack in New York City was carried out by a “sick and deranged person.”

“In NYC, looks like another attack by a very sick and deranged person. Law enforcement is following this closely. NOT IN THE U.S.A.!” he tweeted.

Of course this is an odd statement, because one, it ignored the 8 who were killed, and two, New York City is in the United States.
Trump commented just hours after a person drove through a crowd of people in lower Manhattan, killing eight and injuring more than a dozen people. New York Mayor Bill De Blasio called the incident an “act of terror.”

Need a geography lesson? This was definitely in the USA. Don’t you have a tower or something in NYC?

Melania Trump expressed her condolences to the victims of the attack.
“My heart breaks for #NYC today,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “Thoughts & prayers as we monitor the situation.”
